Central Maine Truck & Trailer Service in Hermon is looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) Truck Maintenance Assistant to join the team.

Responsibilities include cleaning and fumigating interior of the trucks; cleaning windows with water, cleansing compounds, and cloth/chamois; removing dust, grease, and oil from exterior surfaces of trucks; operating wash bay machine to clean the exterior of the trucks and trailers; and cleaning and detailing the inside of trailers.

This position is also responsible for general facility maintenance functions to include cleaning offices, emptying refuse containers, washing rags, etc. We are looking for a candidate who is able to drive a truck and trailer from the yard into the bay. We will provide training for this task.  The person in this position also routinely picks up and delivers parts for the garage.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must have a strong work history. Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires constant forward reaching and grasping; also requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, and hand control. Candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 70lbs and push and pull up to 150lbs. Physical capability assessment is required.  Class C driver’s license is required.

Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors. Valid Class C driver’s license required with clean driving record.
